TABARY Jean

Jean TABARY is one of the masters that made a change in comic history.

He starts in 1956 in Vaillant magazine with the adventures of RICHARD AND CHARLIE  whom he realises 10 episode. In 1958, TOTOCHE is born. He will last 14 years, in Pif Gadget. From Totoche is created CORINNE AND JEANNOT, two busy kids pictured in many gags later published in albums.

In 1961, he enter the Pilote newspaper with VALENTIN LE VAGABOND, at the beginning, on a Goscinny scenario. He also creates IZNOGOUD with scenarist René Goscinny that will be a huge success and famous for his want to become calife instead of the calife.

Until 1968, the serie continues in the Pilote newspaper, created by René Goscinny. When Goscinny passed away in 1977, he continued the serie on his own until his death. Now Nicolas Tabary, his son, has given a new life to the character.
