Edouard AIDANS is a reference in the History of realist Franco-Belgian comics. He published his first work at 16, for the magazine SPIROU. Later on, he drew many stories in LINE and in TINTIN and became one of the principal authors of TINTIN from the 1960s. AIDANS created many characters: BOB BINN in 1960, TOUNGA in 1961, Marc FRANVAL in 1963, and LES PANTHERES. In 1979, he drew Tony STARK, a series imagined by Jean Van Hamme. In 1986, he realized a historical saga called "LA TOILE ET LA DAGUE", for Dargaud Editions, with Jean Dufaux. In January 1992, he resumed the Adventures of Bernard Prince, with a script from Greg. Whether he deals with humor or realism, Edouard AIDANS is an authentic popular author. In June 2006, the "Chambre Belge des Experts en BD" awarded him the Prix Géant de la BD, for the body of his life's work.
